WRTC on FASDs Training and Education

The Western RTC on FASDs provides educational materials, training, and technical assistance to medical and allied health professionals, educators, and students.

The WRTC has developed a curriculum for medical school students to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding the prevention, identification, and treatment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. However, please note that the curriculum for medical school students are available only by request to medical school administrators and faculty and will only be provided upon verification of the requester’s credentials.

Our presentations are freely available to any medical or allied health professional or student.

Continuing education courses are available online within this site - free and approved for both CME continuing education credits for physicians and psychologists and BBS continuing education credits for LCSWs, MFCC/MFTs, and nursing. These courses review the most recent literature and describe best practices in the prevention, identification, and treatment of FASDs and include videotaped demonstrations.

On request, Western RTC faculty can also provide live training/presentations within the Los Angeles area and technical assistance to obtain assistance finding resources, opportunities and services.
